Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Dream In Goa. By making an enquiry or booking a self-drive car with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms, conditions, and operational policies. Please read these carefully before planning your trip.

1. Driver Eligibility & Age Limits

To rent or drive any vehicle from our self-drive fleet, the primary driver must meet the following criteria:

• Must be at least 21 years of age (some premium SUV models may require a minimum age of 23).
• Must hold a valid, original Indian Driving Licence (DL) or an International Driving Permit (IDP) with a national licence.
• Learner's permits or photocopy/digital-only representations without original physical cards are strictly not accepted during handover.

2. Document Verification

Handovers are subject to document verification by our operations team. You must present:

• An original physical Driving Licence.
• An original Government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar Card or Indian Passport). Local Goan residence proofs are subject to additional check filters.
• We reserve the right to decline any booking if documents are expired, damaged, or appear invalid.

3. Booking Enquiries & Handovers

Our website functions primarily as an interactive enquiry system. Handovers are strictly subject to final calendar availability and operational confirmation over WhatsApp or telephone. A booking is not considered confirmed until verified by our booking desk.

4. Security Deposits & Payments

• A fully refundable security deposit is payable upon vehicle handover. The deposit amount varies depending on the car category (Hatchback vs. Thar/SUV).
• The security deposit is fully refunded within 24 hours of drop-off, subject to vehicle inspection for traffic penalties, speed violations, tolls, and new physical scratches.
• Rental payments must be paid in full at the time of vehicle handover.

5. Fuel & Cleanliness Rules

All cars are delivered with a baseline level of fuel. The renter must return the vehicle with the exact same level of fuel. If returned with less fuel, local refilling charges will be calculated and deducted from the security deposit.

6. Prohibited Activities

To ensure passenger safety and comply with local transport regulations, the following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Driving on beaches or saline sandy beds: This is highly illegal, causes severe engine failure, and leads to immediate confiscation of the deposit plus recovery penalties.
• Commercial use: Sub-letting or using the vehicle to carry goods or paying passengers is strictly banned.
• Over-speeding: A maximum speed limit of 60 km/h applies on main Goa roads. Violations are monitored via GPS and are subject to local traffic penalties.

7. Local Jurisdiction

All rental contracts, agreements, and disputes are subject exclusively to the local jurisdiction of the courts in Mapusa/Panjim, Goa, India.
